Easy baby frock stitching tutorial for you!

In this tutorial, we will be discussing how to stitch a baby frock. Baby frocks are a popular choice of clothing for little girls and are often seen as a key part of many special occasions such as birthday parties, christenings and family gatherings.

There are many different ways to stitch a baby frock, but in this tutorial we will be focusing on one particular method. This method is known as the “gathered” look and is achieved by gathering the fabric around the neckline and waistline of the frock.

To start with, you will need to cut two rectangles of fabric. The first rectangle should be twice the width of the second rectangle and both rectangles should be the same length.

Next, take the wider rectangle of fabric and fold it in half lengthwise. Sew a seam along the long edge of the fabric, leaving a 1/2 inch (1.3 cm) gap at the end.

Now, take the other rectangle of fabric and fold it in half lengthwise. Sew a seam along the long edge of the fabric, again leaving a 1/2 inch (1.3 cm) gap at the end.

At this point, you should have two tubes of fabric, one slightly wider than the other.

Next, take the wider tube of fabric and insert it inside the narrower tube of fabric. Match up the seams and sew the two tubes of fabric together at the top, making sure to leave a 1/2 inch (1.3 cm) gap.

Now, sew a seam around the bottom edge of the fabric, making sure to leave a 1/2 inch (1.3 cm) gap.

At this point, you should have a long tube of fabric with a 1/2 inch (1.3 cm) gap at the top and bottom.

To create the gathers, insert a safety pin into one end of the fabric tube and then feed it through to the other end. Adjust the amount of fabric gathered around the safety pin to create the desired amount of gathering.

Repeat this process at the other end of the fabric tube.

Next, take the fabric tube and insert it inside-out through the neckline of the bodice. Match up the side seams and sew them together.

Finally, hem the bottom edge of the frock. And that’s it! Your baby frock is now complete.
