A best friend’s birthday is a special occasion that calls for a special card. If you’re not the type to buy a pre-made card from the store, or if you want to add a personal touch, follow these simple steps to make your own one-of-a-kind card.
Step 1. Gather your materials. You will need some construction paper, scissors, glue, and glitter (optional).
Step 2. Fold the construction paper in half so it’s 6 inches by 9 inches when folded. This will be the card base.
Step 3. On one half of the card base, cut out a shape using the scissors. This can be a heart, a star, or anything else you think your friend would like.
Step 4. On the other half of the card base, write a birthday message using your best handwriting. Be sure to include inside jokes!
Step 5. Cut out small pieces of construction paper in different colors. These will be used to decorate the front of the card.
Step 6. Glue the decorations onto the front of the card, taking care to avoid covering up any part of the message you wrote earlier.
Step 7. Add some glitter for extra pizzazz (optional). Let the glue dry completely before continuing to the next step.
Step 8. Fold the card along the crease you made in step 2, and voila! You’re finished.
