Carnation ribbon is a great way to make ornaments for your tree, and they are very easy to make.
You will need a length of carnation ribbon, scissors, and a needle with thread.
Start by cutting the ribbon into three equal lengths. Take the middle piece and tie it around the top of the needle. This will be your loop. Now, take the two end pieces and tie them together in a knot, making sure it is tight against the loop. Cut off any excess ribbon. Next, thread the needle with about 18 inches of thread. Flip over your ornament so that the loop is at the top, and push the needle through from front to back until it comes out near the knot on bottom (see photo). Pull both ends of thread tight and tie a knot close to the ornament’s surface. Trim any excess thread. Your ornament is now complete!
