Hand fans are a great way to keep cool in the summer heat. You can make your own hand fan out of colorful construction paper. Here’s how:
- Cut a piece of construction paper into a rectangle. The size will depend on how big you want your fan to be.
- Fold the rectangle in half lengthwise.
- Fold the paper in half again, and then in half once more. You should now have a strip of paper that is four layers thick.
- Cut slits along one long edge of the paper, being careful not to cut all the way through to the other side. The slits should be about 1/2 inch apart.
- Unfold the paper strip and fan it out. You should now have a colorful hand fan!
